Book Clubs & Speaking Engagements

I love connecting with readers, both virtually and in-person. Here is some information that will hopefully answer your questions about book clubs, workshops and public appearances.

Will you meet with my book club?

Yes. I am delighted to meet with book clubs! I particularly enjoy speaking with book clubs, because these conversations can inspire participants to embrace their own heartfelt dreams. Many of the themes in My Marriage Sabbatical, such as honoring independent pursuits while maintaining intimate connection or recognizing the rich possibilities for personal growth and deepening partnerships in the second half of life, offer wonderful opportunities for meaningful discussions and group interaction.

Will you come meet with my book club in person?

I am happy to meet in person with book clubs that are local to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Do you conduct virtual meetings with book clubs?

Yes, with pleasure! We can schedule a virtual book club meeting. I can customize your meeting to focus on a general discussion of the book and reader questions or we can explore one or two of the book’s main themes more deeply.

What kind of workshops do you offer for couples?

I have developed a variety of live online workshops for couples. These include a guided annual retreat: “Sharing our dreams/planning our lives;”

Please note: Guided retreats are designed for couples in stable relationships. They are not appropriate for couples in crisis and are not a substitute for therapy.

How do I schedule you for a book club meeting or speaking engagement?

Visit my contact page, provide your contact information and specify your request. I will get back to you promptly and do my best to accommodate your request.

I am also available to speak to groups at libraries, bookstores, events that focus on travel, conferences, active adult programs and residential communities.

Thank you for your interest.
